What Learning Intelligence does

In keeping with our outcome-centric approach, our Learning Intelligence system provides insight into student progress. It scans the an audio recording of the lesson and provides the student’s scores across the globally recognised CEFR language competencies such as:

• Communication: Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.

• Comprehension: Ability to understand spoken language and respond appropriately.

• Vocabulary Range: Breadth and appropriateness of vocabulary used.

• Grammatical Accuracy: Correct use of grammar, sentence structure and agreement.

• Fluency: Ability to speak naturally and maintain flow.

• Interaction: Ability to participate in conversation, ask questions and develop discussion.

It also assesses the broader metrics that Learn Spanish has developed to understand the student’s personal profile:

• Learning Agility: Speed at which new language is absorbed and applied.

• Language Activation: Ability to deploy known language spontaneously in conversation.

• Communicative Confidence: Willingness to speak, experiment and sustain communication.

• Idea Density: Range and complexity of ideas expressed during conversation.

• Self-Correction: Ability to recognise and repair errors independently.

• Engagement and Motivation : Observable commitment, participation and curiosity.

This analysis provides both student and tutor with a real and quantified view of their progress. It can help both student and tutor to prioritise areas accordingly and is a powerful way to accelerate progress.

In addition, the analysis provides phrase-level analysis that highlights particularly elegant use of Spanish and help correct specific errors, for example:

• “Estoy trabajando en Madrid por tres años” → should be “He trabajado en Madrid durante tres años.”

• “Lo gusté mucho” → should be “Me gustó mucho.”

Optional, and an enhancement to your tutor - not a replacement

Whether our students use this additional level of analysis is entirely up to the individual. Those who prefer not to use it simply don’t. Some dip in and out according to requirement. Whether a student uses this service or not, they, of course, still benefit from all of the personal attention and detailed feedback that their tutor provides personally.

No personal data is ever used outside of your own evaluation, and can be deleted at any time.
