Our philosophy at Learn Spanish is to focus on student outcomes. We start with a free consultation to establish: your objectives and why you have them, your personal learning style, and all other relevant factors. We then use this understanding to select the right Spanish tutor for you. In an introductory session, your tutor will work with you to produce a personalised learning plan. Following this, you can start your Spanish lessons safe in the knowledge that you will be working efficiently toward your personal objectives.
We offer complete flexibility. from a student taking a single lesson to brush up their Spanish, to others learning on an on-going basis. You can also revise or pause your plan to suit you.

High-calibre tutors
All of our Spanish tutors are hand-selected by our Learning Director, Polet Orjuela. We only work with the highest-calibre professionals. They are all fully qualified, experienced and teach Spanish as a vocation, not as a job or sideline.
What’s more, Polet works closely with each to ensure that every student is achieving their best outcomes as they work through their Spanish lessons.

We provide all of our students with detailed feedback and guidance
Our Spanish tutors maintain focus on your learning outcomes throughout your lessons. This includes structured and detailed feedback as to your progress, and focused guidance as to how to move forward quickly and efficiently. In addition, we have, as an option, technology that supports and strengthens this feedback. If you choose to use our Intelligent Learning System, it sits in the background, monitoring your lessons leaving you and your tutor to focus on your development.
The technology uses pattern-recognition and phrase-level analysis to measure performance and progress. This gives you and your tutor a formal report that shows scores across the different elements of language, and commentary that helps direct the focus of both tutor and student where the impact will be most effective.
Some our students love these analytics and are motivated by seeing their progress against their plan. Others find their tutor’s feedback and guidance enough, and don’t use the technology at all. You can, of course, opt in or out of it as it suits you. As with everything at Learn Spanish, we will work entirely to whatever best serves your learning.
We work to the curriculum that matches your goals
For general learning, we use Aula Internacional, from Campus Difusión. This is the globally-recognised, gold-standard curriculum used by Spanish tutors worldwide. We cover all levels from beginner (A1) to advanced (C2). This ensures your learning follows a clear, structured path that aligns with international CEFR standards. It also aligns with the DELE exams, should you with to work towards those.
If you (or your child) are working toward GSCE or A-Level Spanish, we can work to the specific exam requirements of the relevant board.
For those who want to work more flexibly, for example for conversation practice, children’s Spanish lessons, or to learn Spanish for business purposes, we can also work outside of established curricula.
Whatever your objective, we will create a clear and focused plan using the most appropriate structure and methodology.

Our Story
Our Learning Director, Polet Orjuela, has a degree in Spanish and Classical Philology and a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. A native Spanish speaker from Colombia, she has taught students of all ages and abilities. Alongside teaching, Polet oversees our educational operations, ensuring that students receive the highest standard of support.
Learn Spanish was founded by Danny Munday. Inspired by his mother, who spoke Spanish fluently after living in Spain and Argentina in her youth, he first started learning the language while travelling through Latin America before committing to a more structured programme of study. Experiencing the frustrations, setbacks and breakthroughs that come with learning a language, he ultimately achieved a level of Spanish that continues to create new friendships, experiences and opportunities.
